I have over 38 years’ experience with large/complex Oracle applications (versions 4.1.4 – 19c). My main focus is on DB performance analysis and tuning, and for the past 14 years, diving deep into AWR tuning data. I am often relied on to produce Oracle Database tuning results across 19c/18c/12c/11g/10g (and occasionally 9i) databases. With the recent shift from on-premise to cloud-hosted data and data centers, I have been using my database architecture expertise to architect cloud migration strategies, including, innovating in the space of Oracle cloud migrations, creating a framework for evaluating database readiness for cloud migration by flagging up migration pain-points and informing capacity planning decisions with AWR metrics.
